Co-organised by Singapore’s Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), the Mayors Forum is an invitation-only platform that convenes mayors and city leaders worldwide to exchange urgent urban challenges and share effective city governance practices. It is one of the flagship events of the World Cities Summit, held biennially in Singapore. In 2024, the Summit welcomed the official delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, led by the Vice Chair of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council.
The 2025 Mayors Forum carried the theme: “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Local Solutions, Global Impact.” The forum emphasized that cities are not only striving to overcome local challenges but also shaping solutions with global significance. In the context of rapid urbanisation, each local action must generate global impact—strengthening climate resilience, fostering social inclusion, and driving innovation worldwide. Through its discussions, the Forum proposed actionable pathways for cities to advance sustainability while improving citizens’ quality of life.
