Following the success of the first International Scientific Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design” (RTD 2022) with the theme “Smart Living,” UEH continues to collaborate with prestigious universities worldwide to host the second International Scientific Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design” (RTD 2024) from July 15-18 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Long.

The RTD 2024 International Conference will be organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in partnership with Politecnico di Milano, University of Trieste (Italy), Seoul National University, Kwangwoon University, Handong Global University (South Korea), University of Sydney, University of Melbourne (Australia), Singapore University of Technology and Design (Singapore), Kent State University (USA), National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Saint Joseph University (Macau), Sun Yat-sen University (China), along with esteemed academic journals such as Atlantis Press, JABES, and Academy of Management Journal (AMJ). The event is also sponsored by Vietcombank and the UEH Giving community.

The RTD 2024 International Scientific Conference will feature two main events:

1. Conference in Ho Chi Minh City: “Fostering Sustainability”
   Date: July 15-16, 2024
   Hosted by: UEH College of Technology and Design

2. Conference in Vinh Long: “For a More Sustainable Mekong Delta”
   Date: July 17-18, 2024
   Co-hosted by: UEH College of Technology and Design and UEH Vinh Long Campus

With the aim of creating a positive and open environment for discussing technological and design solutions for a sustainable future, the RTD 2024 Conference will include keynote speeches, special sessions, and various significant activities such as collaboration exchanges, publication of scientific reports, and research findings from both domestic and international sources. Additionally, an exhibition of research projects, new products, applications, and interactive experiences will be set up within the event space, promising a dynamic and creative atmosphere.

This important event will bring together leaders, professors, scholars, and esteemed experts in technology, design, arts, management, and urban planning from Vietnam and countries such as Italy, Australia, South Korea, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan. Speakers will address scientific, practical, and high-applicability topics, including the role of advanced technology, innovative design methods, and comprehensive data analysis in creating solutions for sustainable actions and improved quality of life. Sustainable development in technology and design not only enhances life quality but also drives economic and social processes more efficiently and effectively. The conference also serves as a networking platform for businesses, experts, guests, and attendees with a shared interest in sustainable development in technology and design, shaping a better world.

RTD 2024 will also organize a field trip in the Mekong Delta, designed to provide experts, speakers, lecturers, students, and attendees with direct observation and practical experience in one of Vietnam’s key regions. This tour aims to enhance understanding of the challenges and opportunities in sustainable development and facilitate interactions and connections with the local community.
