Dr. To Kien

Senior Lecturer

A Senior Researcher, Educator and Practitioner in Sustainable Urban Planning, Urban Design and Architecture, with 20+ year research-teaching-practice track at various international universities and companies, focusing on emergent Asian cities. A creative thinker, problem solver, social activist and change agent, who can work efficiently both in team and individually. Dr. Kien has also taught various modules, coordinated courses, as well as conducted a vast portfolio of academic and action research toward implementation. During his teaching process, he has gained much empirical knowledge through extensive fieldwork, interaction and collaboration with communities towards sustainability. Moreover, Dr. Kien had experience in leading a number of researches and quality publications, and delivering talks at numerous international venues. He has proudly won various grants, fellowships and awards, co-founded groups and co-lead them efficiently. Besides, he is truly well connected, not only in the Asian region but also many other countries.
