Sandhya is a senior lecturer at ISCM. She graduated with Masters in urban design program in 2010, she commenced her career as a Senior Architect in the Master Planning team at RSP India Pvt. Ltd. She made a very valuable contribution to the company in developing various master plans for large-scale planning projects. Further, as an Associate Professor (Tenure) at Dayananda Sagar College of Architecture, she contributed to designing pedagogy and coursework of urban design studio as well as Architecture Thesis. As an academic, she set up urban studio collective, which was a vertical studio focusing on detailed documentation and analysis of historic towns in Karnataka
Her other notable accolades include co-founding a tech-based data mapping start-up Citylabs *BLR and acting as a key collaborator for CITYMAKERS hub in Barcelona to create a platform that brings together urbanism ideas and practices of European and southeast Asiatic regions. She has authored and published various referred journals and papers which discuss cognitive mapping techniques and multilayered reading and data synthesis for Indian Cities.
