ISCM 5 YEAR | ORIENTATION DAY 2025: FUTURE BEATS, CITY LIGHTS
From the very first class, Orientation Day has become a tradition of the Bachelor of Architectural and Urban Design Inclusive Smart City Program (BAUD). This is where generations of students embark on their new learning journey, build connections, and integrate with new knowledge.
In 2025, Orientation Day carries an even more special meaning. This annual tradition will serve as the opening note for the 5th Anniversary Event Series of the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) – Symphony of Future Cities. The event will be an energetic overture, guiding freshmen into a new “melody” of their academic journey while harmonizing with the vibrant community of ISCM students, lecturers, and alumni.
With the theme Future Beats, City Lights, Orientation Day is designed as a joyful medley to welcome the 5th generation of BAUD students – Class K51. Every beat symbolizes students’ individuality, creativity, and energy – qualities that will be nurtured and developed at ISCM, shaping their unique identity within the diverse, multidisciplinary, and sustainable smart city landscape.
Orientation Day 2025: Future Beats, City Lights offers students the perfect chance to explore and express themselves through exciting activities:
Find Your Beat: A space where each student listens to their inner rhythm, shares personal stories, and finds like-minded peers.

Future Beats: Kick-off Vibes: Bursts of energy from first encounters – from origami workshops and sketching sessions to project exhibitions – helping students step into their field of study and kick-start their exploration journey.

City Lights: Explore & Connect: A platform for students to connect with lecturers, senior students, alumni, and peers; together discovering the learning environment, sparking inspiration, and igniting a spirit of companionship for the road ahead.

Bright Futures: Co-creation Night: The highlight of Orientation Day 2025 – where every individual beat blends together, sharing aspirations, dreams, and commitments to compose a brilliant and meaningful symphony for the future.
