Our Journey | Exhibition “Symphony of Future Cities” – 5 Years of ISCM’s Development
Founded as a pioneering model within UEH’s restructuring strategy toward a multidisciplinary and sustainable university, the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) has rapidly established itself as a unique academic space where education, research, and practice intersect and complement each other. Over the past five years, ISCM has expanded its research scope, launched interdisciplinary projects, and fostered international collaborations, with the aspiration of developing feasible solutions for sustainable urban growth, climate change adaptation, and the Net Zero Carbon goal.
The exhibition “Symphony of Future Cities”, taking place from September 27 to 29, 2025 at UEH Campus B, marks the opening highlight of ISCM’s 5th Anniversary celebrations. Designed as a symphony that bridges theory, practice, and artistic creativity, the exhibition takes visitors through ISCM’s development journey while opening dialogues about the future of cities.

Exhibition Highlights:
Research and International Collaboration Zone: Showcasing scientific projects, experimental models, and collaborative initiatives in the smart city domain. The content reflects ISCM’s five key research orientations:
Framework Transition – Building transition frameworks for sustainable cities.
Glocal Design – Global–local design within multidimensional contexts.
Human Centric – Placing people at the heart of urban development.
Tech Solutions – Applying technology for smarter cities.
Urban System – Developing integrated urban systems.
Student Projects in Architecture and Smart Urban Design: Creative works developed at StudioLab – an environment that nurtures critical thinking, encourages experimentation, and connects students with international approaches.
Art – Technology – Community Space: Immersive experiences with VR technology, urban models, and interdisciplinary works combining art, architecture, and technology. These reflect pressing global goals such as gender equality, climate change adaptation, green cities, sustainable migration, public policy, and Net Zero Carbon.
Partners and Sponsors Zone: Highlighting the strong partnership between ISCM and enterprises, organizations, and communities in shaping future urban solutions.
The exhibition is not only a journey to reflect on ISCM’s five years of growth but also an open platform for academia, community, and industry to connect, exchange, and co-create. Every idea and work on display embodies part of a shared aspiration: to build smart, sustainable, and human-centered cities of the future.
