🤝HOSTING THE DELEGATION FROM THE LEE KUAN YEW CENTRE FOR INNOVATIVE CITIES, SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN, AT THE INSTITUTE OF SMART CITY AND MANAGEMENT (ISCM)
On November 1, 2024, the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) hosted representatives from the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) to visit and work at ISCM’s Studiolab. This visit was part of the collaborative framework established by the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between ISCM and LKYCIC in July 2024.
The visit concentrated on in-depth discussions regarding two forthcoming collaborative research projects between ISCM and LKYCIC:
🚶Walkability Project: It focuses on investigating the walkability of residents in Ho Chi Minh City and other regional areas. It seeks to evaluate and recommend improvements to pedestrian infrastructure connection and convenience, fostering healthier and more accessible urban environments.
🏫Net Zero Campus and Digital Twin Application Project: It investigates methods to reduce carbon emissions through the application of Digital Twin technology in campus energy management systems. The initiative aims to enhance energy management using digital simulation, thereby fostering the creation of sustainable, eco-friendly campuses.
This visit marks an important step in realizing multinational collaborative projects, reinforcing ISCM’s pioneering role in smart city research and sustainable development in Vietnam and across the region.
